For many years I have worked in an innovative and unique way to assist people to be more involved, empowered and fulfilled around death and dying.
Our personal experience takes us from birth through our life to death.
Our experiences with loved ones may extend beyond death, through to bereavement.
The full spectrum may look like this;
Birth . Wellness . Illness . Dying . Death . Inbetween . Ceremony . Bereavement
I work with people at all stages of this spectrum, in a range of legal, practical, social and spiritual ways. Responding to any inquiry with openness, honesty and experience.
Working with people who are well or in the prime of life, who may decide to get their affairs in order, rather than wait to do it in a crisis. These arrangements are also considered by people who are ill.
They want to understand and become informed of what all their options are, so that they can make choices that are empowering and appropriate. If they have a lifestyle, they may want to have a death style. This is appearing to be particularly relevent to baby boomers.
These plans need to be considered from 'before need', 'during the moment' and 'after it has occurred' perspectives.
Being with people who are dying and sharing my skills and experience with them to make their journey easier and more gracious. In the event of sudden death, working with the families in their shock, grief and bereavement.
Pioneering a return to a more natural, sustainable and holistic approach to dying, death, disposal and celebration, has been educational and exciting, but above all else, it has been a great privilege to share so many journeys of people in death and bereavement.
