My work has been a great privilege and a wonderful learning, it has taught me many great lessons, it has been an excellent teacher. As I work with so many people in different circumstances, my level of familiarity has offered insights and gifts that I share and pass on to help others explore, come to a place of acceptance of the inevitability of our own death and those that we love.
Death is certain, the time and circumstances are often unknown, the best time to prepare is in the fullness of our lives. Many culutes and philosophies embrace the concept of living life as a practice for death.
By being courageous enough to look at the fears we hold around living and dying, we allow ourselves to face them fully, work through them and let go of them.
By facing our fears in an honest and open way, and with guidance and assistance, the quality of our lives can be enriched.
Religions, spiritualities and philosophies have all pondered the questions death provokes. They have created a range of concepts for us to consider. All faiths and cultures have developed their own beliefs around death.
I am not fixed in any belief, religion or dogma, I embrace them all and work towards a more universal and accepting approach.
I am still open to discovery, and in love with the mystery. Our destination will become clear to us when we reach it, It is our journey to get there that is my interest and passion.
Ultimately, I am inspired by the words of the Dalai Lama, “my religion is simple, my religion is kindness”.
